Flexible Learning: We’re Offering More Ways to Learn with Us!

Here at WildTeam, we’re always looking for ways to improve how we support conservationists worldwide. One of the things we’ve heard from you, our amazing community, is that everyone learns differently. Some of you love the structure and connection of live sessions, while others need flexibility to fit learning around your busy schedules. We’ve listened - and we’re excited to announce a new way to take our most popular course, Project Management for Wildlife Conservation.

Starting from today, we’ll be offering two options for this course:

  1. Guided Learning – The same course you know and love, with live, expert-led sessions and a structured 6 week schedule to guide you step-by-step.

  2. Flexible Learning – A brand-new option that lets you complete the course at your own pace, with all materials provided upfront so you can learn on your own schedule.

Why We’re Making This Change

The demand for our courses has been incredible, and we’re thrilled to see so many conservationists keen to build their skills with us. However, with more people applying for bursaries and paying places than we can accommodate, we wanted to create an option that could make our training more accessible while maintaining the same high-quality experience.

We also understand that not everyone has the time or ability to join live sessions. Whether it’s due to a packed schedule, different time zones, or personal preferences, the self-paced option provides a more flexible learning path.

What’s the Difference? Guided vs Flexible Learning

Both course formats include the same core content, certification opportunities, and access to our supportive online community. The key difference lies in how you engage with the course:

  • Guided Learning offers weekly live sessions, structured schedules, and collaborative opportunities with peers. It’s ideal for those who want guidance, accountability, and the chance to interact directly with trainers and fellow conservationists during our live sessions. Your exam will take place in your final live session and once you have passed, you will be awarded your certification.

  • Flexible Learning is designed for independent learners who want the freedom to progress on their own time. It’s perfect if you prefer flexibility or can’t commit to live sessions. You will be able to take your exam and earn your certificate whenever you feel you are ready, from the start date of the course up until 3 months after.

How This Benefits You

By offering these two options, we’re giving you the power to choose a learning pathway that works best for you. Whether you thrive in a structured environment or need the freedom to learn at your own pace, both courses ensure you’ll gain the skills and knowledge to make an impact in your conservation work.

We’re Still Here to Support You

No matter which option you choose, you’ll have access to:

  • A comprehensive course curriculum.

  • Certification upon completing the online exam.

  • A private training room to connect with your course community on WildHub.

And as always, full and partial bursaries are available for both formats to help make our training accessible to as many people as possible.
